PTO
Next Meeting Date: November 11, 2024
I’m Courtney Blackmon. My oldest child is now in his 3rd year at Carver Lyon in the Spanish Immersion program. I had the honor of being the PTO president last year, and along with a great team of volunteers and teachers, were able to get the PTO back up and running. We worked diligently to revive the program and I'm proud of our accomplishments last year:
- Hosted the SNEAKER BALL
- Provided breakfast carts for our beloved teachers and staff
- Launched two successful fundraisers: Charleston Wrap and CL Merch
- Funded teacher appreciation award gifts
- Contributed to the Career Fair
- Reorganized the library
- Restored our 501c3 status
- Assisted with wish lists
- Increased our social media presence
- Funded choir t-shirts and end-of-year gifts
I believe in the potential of this school! My hope is that I can continue with these efforts and find new ways to bring students, parents, teachers, and staff together, and build an even stronger community within our school. I appreciate you and your support!
Vice President: Wayne Gilmore
Hi, my name is Wayne Gilmore. I am a Father of 5. I currently have two kids enrolled at Carver-Lyon for the 24-25 school year. A little about me; I am family oriented, I believe in morals and values, that every child is special in their own way, and that it takes a village to raise a child. If I am given the opportunity to be the Vice President, I would be ecstatic. I will give 100% effort for the well being of the kids and school to become a better place.
