PreK-2nd Grade Assistant Principal

Ms. Daley-Dixon

Hello,

My name is Anniesha Daley-Dixon, and I have the honor of serving as the Assistant Principal for Pre-K to 2nd Grade at Carver-Lyon Elementary School. I bring with me 21 years of experience in education, grounded in a strong commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and teacher development.

My educational journey began in Jamaica, where I earned a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from The Shortwood Teacher’s College and a Master’s Degree in Educational Measurement from the University of the West Indies. I later earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on principalship, which further strengthened my leadership and instructional expertise.

I began my teaching career at Gregory Park Primary School in Jamaica, where I served for 11 years. In 2015, I transitioned to the United States and joined Lee Central Middle School, where I taught and served as the Social Studies Department Chair until 2020. That same year, I became part of the Richland County School District One family, teaching at Olympia Learning Center before moving to W.G. Sanders Middle School. At Sanders, I served as both the Career Magnet Team Lead and Social Studies Department Chair, leading initiatives that promoted academic achievement and program excellence.

My leadership philosophy is rooted in collaboration, equity, and continuous improvement. I believe in creating supportive and engaging learning environments where both students and teachers can thrive.

On a personal note, I am happily married and the proud mother of a wonderful son. My family inspires me daily to lead with compassion, integrity, and purpose. As I continue my leadership journey at Carver-Lyon Elementary, I am dedicated to fostering a culture of high expectations, meaningful relationships, and success for all learners.
